Chapter 9

What happened on her birthday, was just an episode in her life. 

Regardless of whether the woman she saw in the pastry shop was related to this original body or not, it made no difference to her, so a few days later, she leaves the matter behind. 

Now, she’s back to work again, but things are much less hectic. All kinds of business trips and entertainment were not up to her share. Usually, she only needed to tidy up the study room and arrange the itinerary for the boss. It was completely simple job with good pay. 

Today, Qiao Bai Rong went out again for meeting discussion again. Fang Han felt bored in the room. She also thought that after the previous incidents, the Qiao family would not be that stupid to trouble her again, so she decided to go out for some fresh air. 

It’s autumn now, and the flowers in the yard were about to wither away. If she didn’t wander, she will have to wait until next year. 

It was just unexpected that Fang Han walked into the yard before he ran into First Young Master. 

Since she started to serve Qiao Bai Rong full-time more than three years ago, the relationship between Qiao Bai Rong and family had not been very good. The only contact was with Third Brother, and she hardly see other masters. 

Therefore, when she saw First Young Master, she was stunned. It was not until after hearing Lu He greeted “Young Master” behind her, that she bowed to him and greeted as well. 

   First Young Master’s gaze stayed on her for a while, and then suddenly said, “Are you that Fang Han who made my Qiao family restless recently?”

Fang Han peeked at the gloomy man. 

   But she had to pretend to be frightened: “Slaves dare not.” 

Didn’t expect her words made the First Young Master even more unhappy. 

   “Dare not? Huh, if you didn’t dare, how can that little beast throw my two cousins out of Qiao’s mansion for you, and then even contradicted my mother for you by holding back the expenses in the mansion, leave the public business aside. He even forced my father to agree to your marriage?” He sneered, “I’d like to know what he will do, if you really that daring in other things.” 

Under the influence of his parents, First Young Master despised and did not like his second brother. 

   However, Fang Han only noticed his sarcasm behind the sentence. “What marriage?” 

Their marriage… Didn’t Qiao Bai Rong want to marry her as his wife? 

After all, in this era, generally do not need parental consent to get a concubine, and they do not call that as ‘marriage’. 

She had no idea about this at all. 

She never thought that Qiao Bai Rong, who had never mentioned that wanted to take her into family and planned to marry her as his wife. 

Upon hearing the news, Fang Han didn’t feel any joy, but was shocked. 

She didn’t understand what Qiao Bai Rong was thinking. 

Even if Qiao Bai Rong was not the only son of the Qiao family, as long as his surname is Qiao, it was impossible to marry someone like her… like, a slave?

Fang Han listened to him and wanted to shut up that little mouth. He was full of contempt for Qiao Bai Rong, and she couldn’t help being annoyed. 

   Forgetting her current identity, and blurted out: “After all, First Young Master and Second Young Master belonged to the same father. You keep scolding him as a beast, don’t you think you’re also criticizing your own father as well?” 

   “What did you say?” First Young Master immediately sank. 

   “Miss Fang Han!” Lu he didn’t expect that she would say such disrespectful words, and she turned pale. 

Fang Han was frightened by First Young Master’s gloomy expression and took two steps back, but bit her lip and refused to give in. 

Those words were indeed what she thought in her heart. Although she was a little impulsive, she didn’t regret it after saying it. 

Except for her Boss and Third Young Master, the rest of the family members surnamed Qiao were all neurotic! 

She gave up. 

Qiao Bai Rong had done so much for her, she could not bear to hear him being slandered. 

Previously, she had stayed in Qiao Bai Rong’s room, low-key. But Mrs. Qiao would still find any reason to want to get rid of her. If she couldn’t tell the truth now, she would be too embarrassed to live on.

The last time Sister Fang Han was beaten, she was fortunate that she wasn’t punished. If Sister Fang Han had another accident again, she would definitely be skinned off by the second young master.

No matter how much Qiao Bai Rong loved her or wanted to marry her. If her innocence being ruined, afraid he won’t want her anymore.

Fang Han no longer cared that she was a servant, and the man in front of her was the master. She stretched out her foot and kicked his calf forcefully, broke free from him. She quickly ran away.

It’s was pity that she couldn’t run very far and was caught at once. When she screamed, First Young Master had already thrown her to the ground. 

She felt dizzy and wanted to get up. Unexpectedly, he pressed her struggling body tightly and tore her coat forcefully. 

   “Let me see, where did you attract hiim and make him willing to do so much for you!” First Young Master sneered, his eyes gleaming maliciously. 

   “You are crazy!” Fang Han was horrified. She would rather suffer from beating, than being violated by this disgusting man. 

She was willing sleep with Qiao Bai Rong, just because she wanted to live a good life in Qiao’s mansion. 

If she didn’t like Qiao Bai Rong in her heart, she won’t allow him to touch her even for a single hair. 

   “You can scold me or scream. I’ll see if the bastard will still marry you after I finished you.” First Young Master Qiao tore her clothes unceremoniously. 

   Fang Han was extremely angry, and said nonchalantly: “What kind of noble scholar you are? Bullying a weak woman in broad daylight. If all the men in Qiao’s Mansion are like you, no wonder that you had been a sluggish!” 

This was obviously stepping on First Young Master’s painful foot, his face changed and he slapped her so hard. 

   Fang Han only felt a pain in her face and a buzzing in her ears, but she still gritted her teeth and continued: “Why, when I said the truth, you became angry?”

In the Qiao’s Family, only him and his second elder brother were not born to Mrs. Qiao. Mrs. Qiao didn’t want to see them at all. In addition, the spending power of the house were in the hands of his second elder brother. Third Young Master, who had a clear mind, knew that it was better to make friends with his second elder brother rather than to please Mrs. Qiao. 

   First Young Master was guilty for a moment, but then he became angrier. “If offended him, then what’s the big deal? You are afraid of that evil, but I am not!” 

With that, he continued to unwind Fang Han’s clothes. 

   “Let me go! Go away!” She kept screaming. 

Third Young Master almost jumped anxiously, “Big Brother, don’t be confused. This kind of thing spreads out, will be harmful to the reputation of Qiao Family!” 

   “If you don’t tell, I don’t tell; Then how would everybody know?” First Young Master glanced at him, “Or are you interested in this cheap maid?” 

   “No way! How could it be!” Fang Han was dearest to second brother. He would not do anything to her. 

   “Then don’t bother me!” First Young Master was fierce, lowered his head and kissed Fang Han’s mouth.u 

How could Fang Han let go of this opportunity, of course she directly bit the First Young Master’s mouth desperately. 

First Young Master felt a pain on his mouth and was about to slap her head away. He didn’t expect another sharp pain in the back of his head. He shook his body and fell directly on Fang Han, losing consciousness. 

Fang Han was crushed that she almost couldn’t breathe. After a while, she still didn’t know what was going on. Pushing the heavy dead guy away, she was helpless when she saw Third Young Master stared at her with a brick on his hand. 

   “This was for you. I have completely offended Big Brother.” Third Young Master smiled bitterly. 

   “Thank you Third Young Master for your help.” Fang Han reluctantly sat up and found that her whole body was still shaking. 

   “You don’t need to thank me. Just ask the second young master to keep me safe and prosperous.” Third Young Master sighed for a long time. 

If Second Young Master knew what happened to Fang Han, he might destroy Qiao’s house in a rage. 

It was better to offend the eldest brother than to offend the second elder brother. At most, was just unable to enter Qiao’s house. 

But for now, just hope the second brother can remember all his credit! 

   “That’s for sure… and only if second young master still willing to listen to my explanation.” Fang Han gathered up her broken clothes and whispered. 

Although she didn’t really get hurt, she knew the conservative attitude of the ancients. Even if a man and a woman accidentally bump into each other, they were likely to be forced to form a pair. The rest can only be said after the second brother comes back.

When Qiao Bai Rong received the news, he almost left the person discussion alone and ordered the carriage to take him back to Qiao’s mansion.

On the way back home, he was regretted and resentful.

The person who rushed to find Qiao Bai Rong was Lu He’s group. He only knew that his eldest brother wanted invade Fang Han, but didn’t know the exact details, so he was even more anxious. 

When the carriage drove to the gate of Qiao’s mansion, without even stopping, Qiao Bai Rong jumped out of the wagon without hesitation and rushed directly to the mansion. 

When he ran into the courtyard where he lived, Lu He rushed forward tearfully as soon as she saw him. 

   “Second Young Master, you are finally back!” 

   “Where is Fang Han?” He asked immediately. 

   “Sister Fang Han is taking a bath…” 

At this time? Did she really hurt by his elder brother… 

Qiao Bai Rong’s heart sank and strode into the room. 

When he saw the broken clothes and Fang Han who was soaking in the bathtub, with palm prints on her face, with red eyes and nose, rubbing her skin desperately. He felt his heart broken.

   “Oh.” Fang Han curled her lips slightly and threw away all the previous panic and worries.

All of a sudden, she felt sweet, and the resentment that had existed since she had come across as an unlucky maidservant, seemed to disappear without a trace.

   Fang Han smiled lightly, “He wanted to, but he didn’t succeed.” 

He felt like he was hit by a pie falling from the sky. He had planned for the worst, but he didn’t expect to learn from her that the eldest brother had not succeeded. 

   Qiao Bai Rong sighed and held her tightly, “Remind me, I have to thank my third brother.” 

He actually made up his mind way before this. Whether the third brother wanted to go into business or continue his study for the imperial examination, he will definitely take good care of him in the future. 

As for the others…hmm, just wait and see! 

   “Yeah.” Fang Han replied, but twisted her body uncomfortably, “Second… Bai, Bai Rong, will you please go out first? I want to take a shower.” 

   Qiao Bai Rong let go of her. When he saw the red marks on her arm, he couldn’t help frowning, “Just soak in hot water, don’t rubbing yourself so hard…”

   “That should on him, not yourself.” He bowed his head and kissed the bruise on her shoulder. 

After being kissed like this, Fang Han discovered that her previous discomfort had slowly disappeared. 

   “Okay.” She whispered: “Then you go out first.” 

   Normal days, Qiao Bai Rong would not agree, but he knew that she was terribly frightened today and wanted to be alone, so he just nodded, “Hurry up and wash your body, and I will take the medicine for you later.” 

   Fang Han finally responded softly, “Okay…” 

Qiao Bai Rong saw her mood turning, gave her a smile, turned and walked out.
